After a hard year of being locked down, many people found interest in the sneaker culture. Many people are excited for these last three months of 2021 due to the fact that some of the best shoes are being released. I’ll be taking a look at the top 5 releases of October and hopefully help you pick your next shoe for your collection.

5) Air Jordan 5 “Blue Bird”

This colorful Jordan 5 is set to release on October 7, similar to the Jordan 4 “University Blue” the upper is filled with different cool tones that tie the shoe together. The upper suede is constructed of light aqua blue with the panels and the side air vent giving off an icy feeling. The Bottom of the shoe is an icy bottom and the midsole has silver and cool gray tones. In my opinion, this shoe is great for the winter season or just a shoe that would make people look twice at them.

4) Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Red Thunder’

You can never go wrong with black and red so you can’t miss out on the Jordan 4 “Red Thunder”. This shoe is set to drop on October 2 for a solid $190. Taking inspiration from the Jordan 4 “thunder” the upper is all black suede with the lace panels and air vent being a bright red instead of a bright yellow. The midsole has a slightly different shade of red but makes it work making it a solid shoe. I personally like this shoe due to the fact that it took inspiration from the iconic Jordan 4 “thunder.” If I had the chance to get these shoes, I personally would so don’t miss out on them.

3) Air Jordan 5 “Total Orange”

Taking a first glance this might seem like a familiar colorway, the iconic black, white, and orange making people call these the shattered backboard 5s. The price for these will be a solid $190 and will be released on October 2, 2021. The shoe upper combines traditional white leather and textile mesh on the collar, throat, and quarter panel, replacing the plastic netting of the original. The tongue of the shoe is a reflective mesh with an orange Jumpman and the backside of the midsole being black and orange further up you have silver shark teeth with black spots with the front being white. Finally, you have the outsole, the outsole is a cloudy shade making the shoe look worn. I personally will pass on these but if you like to collect shoes by category this will go great with the shattered backboard 1s.

2) Air Jordan 14 “Winterized”

The season is changing and neutral colors are popping out everywhere. The Jordan 14 “winterized” releases on Oct 16 2021 for a solid $210. The upper of the shoe is a bit different from other Jordan 14s, this upper uses a suede with waterproof materials to keep your shoe clean in the fall and winter seasons. The midsole and outsole are black with a bit of white in the mix, which helps the shoe come together nicely. I personally would buy these and use them for holiday events so if I were you I wouldn’t miss out.

1) Air Jordan 12 “royalty”

The name says it all, this shoe is made to impress. The Air Jordan 12 “royalty” releases on Oct 9 2021 for a solid $190 and is composed of white and black tumbled leather. The side plate and lace eyelets at the top are metallic gold making the shoe stand up to its name. Finally, the midsole, keeping it black and white like the upper, the bottom keeping the iconic carbon fiber that all 12s have. I personally will do everything in my power to get these so you should definitely try.
