Distribution of the 2021 Aerie yearbook starts today.

The 2021 Aerie yearbook is completed and available for pick up beginning today.

The yearbook staff has released a sneak peek video to give students a taste of how it looks… although nothing beats holding your book in your hands.

Below are the dates that have been set to pick up the yearbook at drive-up distribution events.

1. Monday, May 17:  4 p.m.–  5:30 p.m. (CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER)

  • Look for the pop-up tent to the left of the front entrance of the school

2. Saturday, May 22: 9 a.m. – noon

  • Look for the pop-up tent at the front entrance of the school

3. Friday, May 28: 11:30 a.m.  2 p.m.

  • New Tech Building at the same place Chrome Laptops will be returned

Yearbooks will also be available for pick up in the front office starting on Tuesday, May 18.

Tuesday, May 18 – Friday, May 21
If you reserved a book and are on this list (link), you can come to the school and ask to pick up your book at the front office during normal business hours. In order to claim your yearbook, you must show a photo ID that matches the last name on the order. The student’s Akins 2019-2020 School ID will be acceptable. Freshmen may use their middle school ID.

What if you haven’t purchased a yearbook? Can you still get one?

As of May 13, 2021, there were just 138 copies of the 2021 Akins Yearbook left unreserved. You can purchase a copy in person for $70 cash during distribution. Please place in envelope. Include student name, grade and an e-mail address if you would like a receipt. If you’d like to purchase online and pick up in person, you may as well. Visit www.tinyurl.com/Akins2021 and place an order while supplies last.

What do I need to pick it up?

  • CHECK THE LIST Please check the list of purchased books to make sure your student’s name is on the list. 2021 AKINS YEARBOOK ORDERS — you must use an austinisd.org email to access the list.
  • PRINT YOUR LAST NAME ON WHITE PIECE OF PAPER Please legibly print your last name on a white piece of paper and place it on you passenger side window.
  • BRING A PHOTO ID In order to claim your yearbook, you must show a photo ID that matches the last name on the order. The student’s Akins 2019-2020 School ID will be acceptable. Freshmen may use their middle school ID.
  • WHAT IF MY NAME IS NOT ON THE LIST? If you think you purchased a book, but your name is NOT on the list, please email a copy of your Balfour receipt to the adviser at [email protected]
  • WHO CAN PICK UP MY YEARBOOK? Due to the unusual nature of yearbook distribution, only students or parents will be able to pick up yearbooks. Students/parents may pick up yearbooks for siblings, but they are NOT allowed to pick up yearbooks for friends.

How will the drive-through pick-up work?

  1. Please wear a mask for our safety, we are wearing one for yours.
  2. Don’t forget to please print your last name on a white piece of paper and place it on your passenger side window.
  3. Show your photo ID (we will look at it through your closed car window)
  4. Roll down your back window. Your book will be placed in the back seat.
  5. Exit the campus and enjoy your book!
