Akins JROTC held a Veterans Day Ceremony on November 10 to honor those who have served in the U.S. military.
The ceremony included the presentation of service flags, a saber team formation, speeches, and a trumpet performance of “Taps,” and cadets placed a ceremonial wreath in front of the flags.
Akins service members and veterans associated with the service flag were invited to accompany their flag through a Saber Arch. The JROTC unit also held a promotion ceremony for its Cadet Colonel Hope Rodriguez.
