How has the departure of Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona affected everyone?

Lionel Andres Messi, one of the greatest soccer players in history, left FC Barcelona after more than 20 years playing there.

Everyone was in shock when FC Barcelona announced on their social media that Lionel Messi will no longer continue to be a FC Barcelona player anymore. Fans couldn’t believe it because when Messi was 13-14 years old, he moved from Argentina,Rosario to Spain after FC Barcelona agreed to pay for his medical treatments because Messi was eventually diagnosed by doctors as suffering from a hormone that restricted his growth. Since then Messi has stayed in Barcelona for 20 years making Barcelona his new home.

Fans thought that Messi would never leave FC Barcelona and that he would be there all his life as a professional soccer player, even himself thought that when he retired as a professional player from Barcelona, that he would be the new coach or even the new president of the team.

From my perspective, when I heard that Messi will no longer be a FC Barcelona player I was in shock, just last year there were rumors that Messi was going to leave the FC Barcelona but he later confirmed this was false, he said that he never thought of leaving and that he would retire his soccer career at FC Barcelona. I felt bad because he wanted to stay in Barcelona but he couldn’t.

It’s pretty sad to see your idol play on another team that is not yours, but I think Messi will have an excellent career on his new team(Paris Saint-Germain Football Club) and everyone including me wishes him the best to him and his family.
