"Everything that concerns you"

Alana Duran, Softball

EE: How does it feel reaching this level of opportunity?

AD: “It feels really great to know that all the hard work I’ve had or been doing since I was very young is paying off.”

EE: What challenges did you have to face to reach this goal?

AD: “I’ve had to face a lot of physical and mental challenges. A lot of me doubting myself, and then physical like body soreness and all that.”

EE: What do you want to accomplish in your sport?

AD: “I want to accomplish proving people wrong because people don’t think I deserve to go there. So I just want to prove to them that I do belong there.”

EE: What advice do you have to share for younger athletes who are hoping to play at the college level?

AD: “To just never doubt yourself and ever listen to all the negativity that’s going on around you and that you could do whatever you put your mind to.”
