The new anime show on Netflix called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has caused the video game Cyberpunk 2077 to come back into the spotlight as its popularity grew because of the new storyline.

The game was averaging about 15,000 active players before the show was released and just in a week span, it gained a total of 85,000 players. Interest in the Cyperbunk video game had died out due to the many many bugs it had when it was released.

The game has had a bad reputation among gamers because it was so buggy, especially after Cyberpunk’s release was eagerly awaited after a long period of industry hype. Although some of the glitches have been fixed, it still suffers from bugs that can cause strange things in gameplay or even turn off a console in the middle of the game.

The show has attracted an audience because of the strong narrative in Edgerunners. Fans have enjoyed the quality of the anime, the scenery, and how sad and emotional the storyline is. Fans have flooded the game after the release of 10 episodes on Netflix. The game audience has increased by up to 550% in players.

The show revolves around a small street boy named David Martinez who is involved in a car accident causing his mom to die and his school bullies talking about his dead mother.

David decides to get a robotic spine in the show its referred to as “getting chromed up” which was someone else after getting tricked David is confronted by the owner of the mechanical spine and instead of giving it back, David starts working for Maine and his crew of Edgerunners.

This show is really enjoyable because of the animation they used. It’s not a high-quality anime but its animation is something we have never seen before and throughout the show. They build up connections with each character and it puts the viewers through their emotions.

This anime has revived interest in the game again. Game developers have capitalized on the anime by adding items from the show like David’s jacket and some weapons from what Maine crew used throughout the show. To obtain the jacket, players must complete a side quest in which the player talks to Falco, one of David’s crewmates. He helps you get David’s jacket that he wore throughout the show, implying that Cyberpunk Edgerunners is a prequel to the game Cyberpunk 2077.
