My years at Akins have been a time of productivity and creativity as I pursue my passion for music.
Now that I am approaching the end of my senior year, I would like to share a few of the projects that I am working on and plan to release publicly in the next few months and years and such.
During the year, I have been very busy with many great projects. One that I’m very excited about is joining a progressive metalcore band called “The War Against Time. ” The band stands out compared to others in the same genre because we add many elements to our music that add to the sonic party.
This includes atmospheric synths, crazier, weird synth leads, and exotic instruments, just to name a few. When you hear the music, you can feel raw energy and emotion. There is tons of power, vast technical ability, and everyone is firing on all cylinders throughout.
Another thing I’m very excited about is my album. It’s been an ongoing work in progress for about a year now. I’ve got some great musicians who are also dear friends, one of whom is Ian Richenberger. He is one of the lead singers from my band, The War Against Time. He’s an incredible singer.
Another one of the musicians whom I’ve grown to love is a guy by the name of Brett Senzer, who plays in a band called Devoted Fusion, which is based out of Long Island, New York. I recommend people go check them out. They have some killer albums as well as some killer drum work from Brett. He’s an incredible player. The album, which features some other brilliant musicians, is a real sonic party. It’s a prog metal album, but there’s so much going on blended in, and for me, there’s such a wonderful mix of technical ability from all the musicians. It’s a mystical journey of epic proportions on everyone’s part, so stay tuned for more info about that shortly.
In addition to that, I’m also doing very collaborative things with other artists. One of them is a good friend of mine, Zak from the UK. He’s a very talented artist, and we are planning to make an EP together. More info on that is coming very soon. There are a few other things that I can’t say much about right now due to the details not being fully together yet.
If anyone would like to stay up to date on my crazy world, my Instagram would be the best place (Bass_Gabe). Also, if you want to support me more, my Patreon is another great place to support me (Bass Gabe) for that one. I do a lot of lesson/teaching videos there and also post a lot of behind-the-scenes from that. So if that sounds interesting, sign up for that.
