Best Shoe Releases from the Past Decade

Best Shoes Releases from each year 2010-2019

Introduction: The reason I decided to do shoes because people do all they can just to get one pair of nice shoes they saw on television. You wear shoes every single day of your life. By doing a list about the best shoe releases for each decade you might get nostalgia from a shoe that came out from a certain year and think, “Oh wow I remember wearing or buying those shoes”. So I just wanted to make a list to kind of show a history of how far shoes have come from different styles and different patterns of colors. And show images of them and explain how much of an impact they had. Another reason why I made this list is because I have a huge interest in shoes and I’d always love the unique style of a shoe it had and the colors it brought.

2010: Air Jordan 3 Retro – Doernbecher Charity

Most people don’t know this but Doernbecher shoes were created by kids from Doernbecher children’s hospital. This shoe also happens to be one of the rarest Air Jordan 3 shoes there’s been. The price for the shoe as of right now is $500-$600.

2011: Nike Air Mag

Most people might say that this was the greatest sneaker to ever be released. But the price may shock you going up to $30000-$50000 just for one pair. These sneakers are very rare and only a limited amount of people have these. In my honest opinion, I like the shoe a lot but I just wish they didn’t cost so much that’s probably the only downfall of the shoe all in all.

2012: Nike Air Yeezy 2

“These are hypebeasts shoes”. Some might say, but the Nike Air Yeezy 2 are forever classics. The way the colors are interpreted and styles with each other. When these shoes released they only cost $245. But now they are thousands of dollars just because of how rare they are. The reason I believe these are important is because some people might look at these shoes and get memories from the year 2012, the reason I believe this is cause almost every rapper had these on back then and they were just really talked about in the year 2012.

2013: Raf Simons x Adidas Ozweego

Now and days I see lots of people starting to wear these, but not a lot of people knew that these shoes came out 6 years ago. They have a special style that makes them so beautiful to wear. Depending on what color, style, or size you wear the price of this shoe can go up to $200-500. These are somewhat of a designer shoe,  well because the collab with

Raf Simons. I believe these are important because they had so much history ever since they first came out, not a lot of people wore these shoes when they first came out but now and days a lot of people are starting to wear them now.

2014: Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue

The legend blues were an iconic shoe due to the fact of its colorway and its design, especially with the icy bottoms. When the shoe first came out it sold 500,000 times in one week of it releasing. That alone is just crazy for a sneaker. By this year of 2014, Jordan 11s were becoming popular because of re-releases of them. But when the “Legend Blues” came out a lot of places that sold them were crowded full of people and then the shoes would eventually sell out. I also believe these shoes are important cause I sort of get a nostalgic vibe of the year of 2014.

2015: Adidas Yeezy 750 boost

The Adidas Yeezy 750 were also very hyped knowing Kanye released Yeezys prior to the year before, but these certain shoes had a unique strap over a long “boot looking type shoe”, it kind of looked a little bit like an ugg boot. Not only were rappers wearing these shoes , but I also saw people that lived near me or just friends wearing these. Now I’m not saying these shoes are cheap they still cost up to $200-$300, but that was back when they first released. Now they cost up to about $500-$1000.

The Bape x Adidas collab was a great collab I mean just look at them. The blend of the Adidas stripe and bape logo are just magnificent. The colorways are also a beautifully blended color as well it has sort of an army camouflage.  The prices for these shoes were $150 when they first released, now they cost up to $1000 due to the rarity and limited editions of this shoe.

2016: Bape x Adidas “NMD”

The Bape x Adidas collab was a great collab I mean just look at them. The blend of the Adidas stripe and bape logo are just magnificent. The colorways are also a beautifully blended color as well it has sort of an army camouflage.  The prices for these shoes were $150 when they first released, now they cost up to $1000 due to the rarity and limited editions of this shoe.

2017: Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 “The Ten”

Virgil Abloh is a creative artist that gets certain brands and makes them look way much better adding little designs and making the shoe more unique. Collabing with Jordan he added words with quotation marks such as, “Air, and Shoelaces”.  There’s just one thing that most people probably don’t like about the shoe and that is the price, which is thousands as of 2019. Some might also say that this was the important shoe of the year when they came out. I also agree with this because it debuted Virgil Abloh’s work being noticed, and now a lot of people recognize his work as of today.

2018: Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4

These I believe were historic in the year of 2018 due to the fact that rapper Travis Scott made a shoe and collaborated with Air Jordan. A lot of people bought this shoe because they were just fans of Travis or they just liked the design and colorway of the shoe. The price of these shoes when they first came out were about $225. But now they cost up to $3000.

2019: Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1

The Travis Scott 1s that just released are very hyped and most talked about as of 2019 well because of the artist releasing another type of shoe and being one of the best Jordan type of shoe to make it with. Most would call these shoes og. The price of these shoes can up to thousands but lots of people would even go crazy for them not caring of the prices of them.
