EE Athlete Q&A: Brian Medina

The Eagle’s Eye interviewed Medina to find out more about him.

EE: And what’s sport do you play?

BM: I play soccer.

EE: Do you have a position on your team?

BM: I do I am a captain and I also play the left wing position.

EE: How long have played your primary sport?

BM: Since the age of four.

EE: What are you most proud of accomplishing as Akins athlete?

BM: It would probably be being a four-year letterman. I was on varsity since my freshman year and then being the captain this year it also means a lot to me.

EE: How many hours do you spend training practicing or playing a week?

BM: Over 15.

EE: Why do you play your sport?

BM: Put simply it’s my life. It’s my escape. I just love playing it, overall.

EE: What do you get out of being a school athlete?

BM: I mean my fitness always stays on point. Besides that, it also motivates me to keep my grades really high. So I’m always striving to go for A’s and B’s. And it also helps me build a bond with my teachers my peers and my teammates.

EE: Do you think you’ll play your sport after high school?

BM: Most definitely catch me on TV in like two or three years.
