Updated June 1, 2021: AISD Graduations change in venues and times

Dear families,

Due to inclement weather and other circumstances outside our control, all graduation ceremonies have been moved indoors. To accommodate our new venue and make traffic flow as smoothly as possible, we have adjusted the times of some ceremonies, including moving up the time of our 9 a.m. ceremonies to 8:30 a.m. Other ceremonies have been adjusted as needed, please check your student’s graduation times below. 

Wednesday, June 2

• 8:30 a.m. – LBJ ECHS / LASA – Delco Activity Center
• 11:30 a.m. – Navarro ECHS – Delco Activity Center
• 2:30 p.m. – Eastside ECHS – Delco Activity Center
• 5 p.m. – Northeast ECHS – Delco Activity Center*
• 8 p.m. – Anderson HS – Delco Activity Center

Thursday, June 3

• 8:30 a.m. – Crockett ECHS – Burger Activity Center
• 11:30 a.m. – Travis ECHS – Burger Activity Center
• 3 p.m. – Akins ECHS – Burger Activity Center*
• 7 p.m. – Bowie HS – Burger Activity Center*

*No change in times.

As a reminder, all graduations will be livestreamed on AISD.TV or Facebook Live. 

For students and families using the free shuttle buses, the pick-up location will remain at its original pickup location.

The district has a Clear Bag Policy in place that details the type and size of bags that visitors are allowed to bring into our stadiums.

We ask that students, families and staff who attend graduation follow safety protocols that include masking, temperature checks and distancing.

We appreciate your ongoing support and participation. And, look forward to joining your students for year-end celebrations.

On June 3, the Class of 2021 will be invited to attend an in-person, outdoor graduation ceremony held at the Toney Burger Stadium, starting at 3 p.m.

Students, families, and staff who attend the graduation in-person will follow safety protocols that include masking, temperature checks, and distancing, with staff members on-site providing direction. Each graduate is allowed eight guests from the same household to attend the ceremonies, which will include a combination of live and pre-recorded content.

Graduates will walk in the traditional processional and be seated on the field 6 feet apart. Austin ISD is planning for these events based on current public health guidance. If local or state ordinances change, the district will modify its plans accordingly.
