Akins High School will host a tour stop from High School Nation on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring live music, art displays and interactive activities.

High School Nation is a non-profit organization that promotes the arts in schools. The event hopes to  offer students an interactive fine arts experience to show the value of fine arts in all professions.

From 9 a.m. to 10:25 a.m., the AHA and New Tech major teachers will be in the theater for a panel on the arts.  From 11 a.m.  to 1 p.m. there will be an interactive concert, art show outside the theater. The concert is welcome to students during their lunch period, but only students in the AHA and New Tech academies will be there during class time.
