The 4ATX Foundation and its financial partners celebrated the opening of a mini-pitch soccer court at Akins on Friday, Sept. 29.
The Akins band, cheerleaders, soccer teams, and school administration participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Representatives from 4ATX, which is the non-profit foundation of the Austin FC professional soccer team, expressed their appreciation for everyone who made the project possible.
Akins soccer players got to play a few matches on the mini-pitch court with Austin FC player CJ Fodrey, who later signed posters for attendees.
