At the end of the 2017-2018 school year, a number of fine arts directors announced their departure from Akins. In this video, the directors take a look back at their favorite memories from Akins, share one final farewell to their students, and Director of Bands, Tate Fincher, shares some final words of advice for the departing directors.

    What a honor for these music teachers. A very nice job and I know you have made them proud. Very sad to see all of these teachers go, they will all be missed. We at least have this video to remember them by and the footprints they leave on our lives.
