Eagle’s EyeWhat are some of your goals as principal?

Brandi Hosack: I want to be the best leader I can, by serving the school. Although I am the leader of the school, the best leaders are those that serve. I wouldn’t ask anything I wouldn’t do myself.

EE: Where do you see Akins in 5 years?

Hosack: Currently, Akins is in the top 10 percent of high schools in the nation and in the next five years, I want us to be in top 5 percent.

EE: What are some of your goals as a principal?

Hosack: I want to be the best leader I can be. I want to be be seen as a serving leader. I wouldn’t ask anybody to do anything I wouldn’t do myself and best leaders are those that serve.

EE: How do you plan on reducing the amount of student conflicts?

Hosack: This has been a difficult semester but I believe students don’t learn a lesson from 3 day suspension and more has to be done to further disciple them.

EE: Would all academies be offering internships?

Hosack: That was one of the secrets I had talked about with Mrs. Simmons. I want every student to be given the opportunity to be an intern and I want our academies to be bigger, better and more productive.
