There is a new game in town when it comes to having a good scare to help people get into the Halloween spirit.

Actually, Bat City Scare Grounds is located in Buda, but it’s just a short drive away from Akins and South Austin. It features three different haunted houses, performances by various sideshows music acts and stunts, a variety of retail vendors, and a concession stand.

In Castle Orlock, which is a castle-based house with a mad scientist living upstairs, there is a short maze that leads outside the castle where guests see three girls screaming and crying as they scream “GO!”

The Ancient Evil haunted house is based on a mythological theme and includes witches, pharaohs, boney animatronics, leprechauns, the legendary character Catrina, who is the grand dame of the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration.

Clownocalypse uses 3D glasses to help make the colors more vibrant and make the attractions more 3D. Some of the clowns are there to help and direct you as there is a spinning room that can make guests dizzy.

Not only is this a haunted house where all you do is get scared, you can also make friends with the clowns and have conversations with them. Bat City does not only offer haunted houses they also offer sideshows, shops, and concession stands.
