Due to the recent floods in the Austin area, there have been many greatly affected including some Akins students. Campus social worker, Colleen Arnold has a clothing closet, school supplies, and a community resource connection to assist all who were affected.
Arnold is also offering emotional support to those who need it. To better assist those in need, you can donate canned, boxed, and jar food items as well as clothing. All items can be taken directly to the SSS room located at the front of the school. Any leftover food or clothing will be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank or Coats for kids.

In case of any questions you can contact Colleen Arnold in the Student Support Services office at (512)-841-9878
